This jaguar has ben sitting for five years what should i do?

I want to buy this Jaguar from this guy and it has ben in a feild for five years and it drove back there. i know that the block all aluminium and that wont rust, buy what would be some good tips on getting it to run.|||i own a shop, and even though the block is aluminum,it still has a steel sleeve in the cylinder walls,so be careful on this one,you could be in store for a big nightmare, one that will never end,id ask them why they parked it in a field, that would be my first clue as to a good reason not to buy it,I'm not kidding you, that could turn out to be a bottomless pit as far as repairs go,see why they parked it before you think about buying it,because every thing in it is going to have to be flushed out real good including the gas tank, and its going to need a lot of new parts to get it started,a complete tune up would be a good place to begin, but first find out why they parked it,those was real bad to warp heads, and a head for it is about 1500 bucks used, and that's if you can find one, good luck on this one,if it were me id pass on it.|||it sounds like a lot of work on that one.

|||be careful of jags the electrical wiring is a nightmare|||changing brakes, roters and pads... car not good if it cant stop

drain gas from system and run fresh gas through

new spark plugs and wires, distributer cap and roter, or replace cores depending on what you have

new air filter, check for leaks and fix as nessesarry,|||what year/model are you talking about? Most older Jaguars don't have aluminum engines.|||I would highly recommend staying away from it. I have worked on several older Jags. Nightmares. Expensive Nightmares. Alot of parts are not available. There is a reason he parked it. Hint, hint...|||Dodge guy is not far off but a little more info would help. Not all jags are bad. Year and model would help, so would the milage. If you told us what you were paying for it also helps. NOT many jag`s had aluminium blocks. So roll another one boys. Been play`N with british leyland too long. Still have a 64 mini woody wagon 850 cc with a push button starter on the floor. 0-60 in the time it takes to boil water, but an honest 53mpg
