What is approximate cost to fix a leaky differential on a 2005 Jaguar X-Type?

I just noticed the rear on my 2005 Jaguar X-Type started leaking. The car is no longer under warranty. Is this a common problem with this car? Does anyone now the approximate cost of the repair?|||that all depends on what is leaking and your also talking Jaguar, it's in the same category as corvette and cadillac as far as prices go.|||Depends where the leak on your x,is coming from, could be a simple gasket, could be a oil seal

the oil could be leaking from your drive shafts or anywhere, you could have a hole in your diff

for all we know, steam clean the diff then observe try to pin point the leak

Ive got a x-type and parts are not cheap, ive just replaced the two rear outer cv's 拢85 each

as the reluctor rings came off and put the abs light on|||shouldn't be to much. If you have some tools you could do it yourself.

You need a gasket and some new gear oil. I would say no more than $100. I guess that depends on the shop though.
