How many miles can a 1996 Jaguar XJS have before it gives you problems?

We are looking to buy a used 1996 Jaguar XJS but we aren't sure. How many miles can they hold before they give you mechanical problems?|||Any car can in theory have problems when it comes out of the factory.

I delivered Dodge Aspens many years ago and one had a blown head gasket with only 3 miles on the odometer.

If the car has had routine maintainance and been taken care of there is a very good possibility that it could go 200,000 miles or more but there is never a guarantee of that.|||I'm really not too sure how to answer this question. Cars don't have a certain mileage before they break down. It really depends on the maintenance that's been done on the vehicle, and depends on how well the previous owner took care of it. I personally wouldn't go buy a vehicle with 300,000 miles on it, but like I said... it all depends on the vehicle and that vehicle's history. If in doubt, you could also get a CarFAX, but I'm not so sure that it would neccessarily tell you what you're looking for. Good luck!|||15-20k. So...don't cross that bridge over the river thames unless you're carrying comical sacks of money.
